Day02: LAHORE - ISLAMABAD After Breakfast visit: Lahore Museum the best museum in Pakistan housed in a mughal gothic building opened in 1894. Its 19 galleries display collection of Buddhist stone sculpture from the gandharan period including the Fasting Buddha, Islamic, Hindu and Jain wood carving miniatures from Jain, persion, mughal and sikh. Lunch at Traditional Pakistani Restaurant, Drive to Islamabad, overnight in hotel.
Day03: Breakfast at hotel Morning drive to Taxila. Taxila is famous for the rare specimens of stucco from the Gandhara period excavated from Sirkap and various Buddhist Stupas and Monasteries.
Day04: Drive to Peshawar (170km 4 hours drive). Dharmarajika Buddhist Stupa Probably the oldest stupa erected in Pakistan, is one of the most impressive. Emperor Ashoka built the first stupa in the 3rd century B.C. The main stupa 15m high and 50m in diameter, overnight in hotel.
Day05: Breakfast at hotel Morning sightseeing tour of Peshawar
Day06: Excursion to Khyber Pass. Khyber Pass is situated in Sulaiman Hills, which from the western barriers of Pakistan. Visit Sphola Stupa,
Day07: Peshawar –Charsaddah-Peshawar Drive to Charsaddah (150km 5 hours drive) was the capital of gandhara from about the 6th century B.C to the 2nd century A.D.
Day08: Drive to Swat: En route visit:
Day09: After Breakfast visit: swat museum. Butkara Stupa, one of the most important Buddhist shrine in Pakistan from 2nd century B.C built by the great king Ashoka.
Day10: After Breakfast, visit Jahanabad
Buddha overnight in hotel. Day11 Drive to Islamabad. En route visit. Visit Godara Rock engarvings overnight in hotel.
Day12: Drive to Lahore: Sight seen tour to Lahore evening transfer to airport for fly back to destination.
