                    Gasherbrum-I (8068meters) Expedition
High Light:

Gasherbrum is Balti word means Shining Wall situated at the upper Baltoro Glacier in Karakoram Range. There are Six peaks in Gasherbrum range in which Gasherbrum-I and Gasherbrum_II are above 8000meters. First climb on Gasherbrum-I was made by Americam expedition in 1958, led by Nick Clinch. Excellent physical condition and climbing experience is required for this peak.

Day To Day Program

 

Day01:             Arrival at Islamabad Airport, Transfer to hotel and briefing in the Ministry of Tourism. Sight seen includes Shah Faisal Mosque, Daman-e-Koh and Parliament Street.

 

Day02:             Drive to Chilas over Karakoram Highway along mighty Indus river, 11 to 12 hours drive, overnight in hotel.

 

Day03:             Drive to Skardu. 7 to 8 hours drive, overnight in hotel.

 

Day04:             Sight seen in Skardu includes Satpara Lake, Bazar and afternoon final packing for the trek, overnight in hotel.

 

Day05:             Drive by 4 x 4 jeep to Askole (3000meters).The last village before the starting of trek. Here we meet the porters of the trek, overnight tin camp.

 

 

Day06:             Trek to Jolha: Jolha is located at the altitude of 3300meters and walking distance is 6 to 7 hours, overnight in camp.

 

Day07:             Trek to Paiju: Paiju is located at the altitude of 3425meters and walking distance is 5 to 6 hours, overnight in camp.

 

Day08:             Rest Day in Paiju:. From here we will have view of Great Trango Tower (6283meters), overnight in camp.

 

Day09:             Trek to Urdukus: Urdukus is located at an altitude of 4050meters, 8 to 9 hours trek, overnight in camp.

 

Day10:             Trek to Goro II: Goro II is located at the altitude of 4382meters. 6 to 7 hours trek, overnight in camp.

 

Day11:             Trek to Concordia: Chogholisa (7665meters), overnight in camp

 

Day12:             Trek to Sharing, overnight in camp.

 

Day13:             Trek to GB-I (8068meters) base camp, overnight in Camp.

 

Day14 to

Day44:             GB-I climbing activities.

 

Day45:             Trek to Ali Camp: Ali Camp is located at an altitude of 5010meters. 6 to 7 hours trek, overnight in camp.

 

Day46:             Trek to Kheuspang: Approach march is 10 to 11 hours. Kheuspang is located at an altitude of 4600meters, overnight in camp.

 

Day47:             Trek to Shaicho: Shaichoo is located at an altitude of 3330meters. 5 to 6 hours trek, overnight in camp.

 

Day48:             Trek to Hushe: Walking distance is 3 hours. At Hushe jeeps are waiting and continuous drive to Skardu, overnight in hotel.

 

Day49:             Drive to Chilas or Besham, overnight in hotel.

 

Day50:             Drive to Islamabad, overnight in hotel.

 

Day51:             After debriefing, visit Rawalpindi old Bazar and free for shopping.

 

Day52:             Transfer to Islamabad Airport for fly back to destination.
