Highlights: K2, the Savage Mountain, is the second highest peak in the world at 8611 meters. Known for its technical difficulty, avalanche terrain, and extreme climbing challenges, K2 is a dream peak for serious mountaineers. From the summit, climbers can view Gasherbrums, Broad Peak, Masherbrum, Mustagh Tower, and Chogolisa. Base Camp is at 4500 meters, a 4–5 hour walk from Concordia.

Day to Day Itinerary
Day 01 – Arrival in Islamabad
Welcome at Islamabad Airport and transfer to hotel.
Day 02 – Islamabad Briefing
Visit Alpine Club of Pakistan for expedition briefing and permit formalities. Afternoon free.
Day 03 – Islamabad to Chilas
Drive along the Indus River, photo stops at Shatial rocks, overnight in Chilas.
Day 04 – Chilas to Skardu
Scenic drive with stops at Nanga Parbat viewpoint and the unique confluence of Indus & Gilgit rivers. Overnight in Skardu.
Day 05 – Free Day at Skardu
Optional sightseeing at Satpara Lake. Final shopping and preparation for expedition.
Day 06 – Skardu to Askole (3000m)
Jeep transfer via Shigar Valley. Meet porters and prepare for trek. Overnight in camp.
Day 07 – Askole to Jhola (3200m)
Start trekking. Cross Domurdo River and camp at Korofon. Acclimatization walk.
Day 08 – Jhola to Paiyu (3600m)
Cross challenging sections including “flying fox”. Overnight at Paiyu.
Day 09 – Rest Day at Paiyu
Acclimatization, bonfire night with porters, and local cultural experience.
Day 10 – Paiyu to Khaburse (4000m)
Trek across Baltoro Glacier to Khaburse campsite. Overnight in camp.
Day 11 – Khaburse to Goro I (4300m)
Trek along glacier with views of Paiyu Peak, Uli Biaho Tower, Gasherbrum IV, and Masherbrum. Overnight on glacier.
Day 12 – Goro I to Concordia (4700m)
Panoramic views of surrounding peaks, overnight at Concordia camp.
Day 13 – Trek to K2 Base Camp (5100m)
Reach K2 Base Camp crossing Broad Peak Base Camp en route. Overnight at base camp.
Day 14–46 – K2 Climbing Period
Acclimatization, establishing high camps, and summit attempts.
Day 47 – K2 Base Camp to Muneer Camp (4900m)
Walk down to Concordia, continue to Muneer Camp via Vigne Glacier.
Day 48 – Ali Camp to Ghondoghoro La to Kheuspang (4680m)
Early start to cross Ghondoghoro La (5650m). Descend to Kheuspang campsite.
Day 49 – Kheuspang to Dalsangpa to Saistcho
Easy descent with scenic views, overnight at riverside camp Saistcho.
Day 50 – Saistcho to Hushe to Skardu
Finish trek at Hushe, jeep transfer to Skardu. Overnight hotel stay.
Day 51 – Skardu to Chilas
Drive back to Chilas for overnight stay.
Day 52 – Chilas to Islamabad
Long road journey, transfer to hotel in Islamabad.
Day 53 – Debriefing
Debrief at Alpine Club of Pakistan.
Day 54 – Departure
Transfer to Islamabad Airport for flight back home.
